Hi!

My name is Chris, I am a musician in my 40s living in Amsterdam with my wife Sina since 2021. 

I am working mostly at night so I have some time available between noon and the late evening to walk your furry companion. I am comfortable walking your dog with or without a leash and I am looking forwad to entertain them with their favorite game (cookie searching/tug of war/fetch the ball etc.) or teach them tricks. I do have a bakfiets if your pupper is comfortable with that as well. I live in the East of Amsterdam, on Zeeburgereiland, so Ijburg, North and Zeeburg is within my reach quite quickly. My "home turf" where I could walk your dog, if not in your preferred area, would be around the Northeast of Amsterdam:
Flevo Park, Schellingwoude, Durgerdam.
I usually walk between one and two hours, also depending on quality playing time.
In case your dog needs to be administered pills, I am capable of doing that, preferably after you showed me how your dog is most comfortable with the process. 

Our dog Anouk was diabetic for a brief amount of time, this is where I had learn to administer Insulin shots, so in case your dog is also diabetic - I feel comfortable to help.

My wife and I were dog parents to a lovely swiss white sheperd called Anouk. She moved into our home when she was eight weeks old. We were granted almost 11 years with her but had to let her go in June 2024. 
After a time of grief we feel now ready to open our apartment for the day and also for overnight stays for your furry friend.

Over the years I've lived with roomies and their dog(s) and I pet sitted here and there for friends.
I am deeply fascinating and captivated by our canine friends and I try to keep up with the current scientific findings about dogs by reading and by talking to friends who work in the field (a vet, dog physiotherapist and my former neighbor is a dog trainer with her own school).
While I love educating myself, I believe nothing beats direct interaction with our dogs - I loved teaching Anouk new tricks even in her senior years - and mindful observation:
I could spend hours in the park just watching a bunch of dogs interacting.
