Hi!

My name is Karina, and my husband Benjamin helps me with dog sitting. We both absolutely love animals and have always had them in our lives, so caring for pets feels completely natural to us.

I previously volunteered at an animal shelter in the U.S., where I learned training basics, canine behavior, and how to support dogs with trauma or more “difficult” personalities. When I moved to the Netherlands, I began dog sitting as a side activity to help pet owners find a safe, reliable place for their pets. I’ve now been doing this for over four years and I’ve enjoyed every moment.

We live in a green, peaceful area with plenty of space for long walks and runs. Whenever the weather allows, we enjoy going to nearby parks or the Amsterdamse Bos. At home, the environment is calm and cozy. We play with toys, practice tricks, and adjust our routine to each dog’s individual needs and energy level.

We also have a dog of our own, Linda, a 5-year-old small mixed shelter dog. She is a bit cautious with new dogs at first, but usually becomes comfortable and friendly within a day or two. Supporting her socialization is another reason why we love opening our home to other pets.

We always treat every dog as if they were our own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and at ease.
