Hi there!

I’m a lifelong dog lover who truly enjoys sharing my home with dogs and helping them feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I’m originally from Mauritius and have been pet sitting for several years in Australia, Haarlem, and now Almere with my Dutch partner, Renzo. I’m new to Pawshake but previously cared for dogs through another platform.

Dogs have always been part of my life, and I understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust — without it becoming overly expensive.

Our home

Our home is calm, cozy, and never empty. Renzo and I work from home on alternating days, so there’s always someone around to provide company, supervision, and cuddles.

We have a large yard where dogs can relax and play safely, and we’re surrounded by nature — perfect for peaceful walks away from busy city streets. A baby gate in the living room allows dogs to have their own space whenever they need it.

Daily care & routine

Days are relaxed and adapted to your dog’s needs, energy level, and personality. I follow your dog’s usual routine and make sure there’s a good balance between activity, mental stimulation, and rest.

Your dog will enjoy three relaxed walks per day in nature (20–30 minutes each), with extra walks available if needed. Playtime includes fetch, tug, and gentle enrichment activities like sniffing games and lick mats (with your permission), as well as plenty of calm rest and affection.

We'll naturally keep you updated throughout your dog's stay by sending pictures and videos.

Safety & guest policy

Your dog’s wellbeing and comfort always come first. For safety reasons and to make sure every dog feels at ease, I only accept small to medium dogs up to 15 kg and care for one guest dog at a time.

A meet & greet on neutral ground is required before daycare or boarding to ensure a good match for everyone.

About Yoko

Yoko is a playful, friendly 2-year-old rescue who loves fetch and tug and is happy to share her toys. She enjoys having a playmate but is still learning how to behave around other dogs indoors.

She may bark and be a little protective of her space, but she is not aggressive and walks calmly alongside other dogs. As a rescue, we don’t know much about her past, so we take introductions slowly and always prioritize comfort and safety. Your dog will be welcomed as part of our family.
