I’m a South African (24 years old) who, from the day I opened my eyes, has been surrounded by dogs. Honestly, I’m the kind of person who will completely lose interest in your conversation the second a dog walks past. 😂

My boyfriend and I both grew up with dogs back home in South Africa, and we definitely miss having our furry family around. We don’t have a dog of our own at the moment, so we would love to open our home to your dogs while you're away❤️

We’d love to give your dog a safe, warm and cosy home-away-from-home while you’re on holiday or away for work. Our goal is for you to enjoy your time away, knowing that your dog is somewhere they are genuinely loved, cared for and comfortable.

A little bit about their stay with us: We have an enclosed outdoor space where your dog can safely spend some time outside, sniff around and enjoy a bit of fresh air.

We also love going for walks and would be very happy to take your dog along with us if they enjoy walks and are comfortable doing so. Of course, if your dog is older, doesn’t enjoy walks, isn’t used to them, or simply prefers a slower pace, that’s completely fine too. We’ll always follow what your dog is comfortable with rather than forcing a routine that doesn’t suit them.

One thing that’s particularly important to us is that we only look after dogs from one household at a time. We don’t mix dogs from different families, and we don’t have any dogs of our own. We take a maximum of two dogs at a time, so if your dog/dogs are staying with us, they’ll be the only guest dogs in our home.

This means they don’t have to share their space with unfamiliar dogs and can settle into our home without the added stress of a constantly changing group of dogs.

Before their stay, I like to have a quick call with you to get to know your dog and go through all the important little details: their walks, meals, sleeping routine, favourite things, quirks, and anything else they might need. Every dog is different, and we want their stay with us to feel as normal, comfortable and stress-free as possible.

While your dog is staying with us, you can expect a daily update, or more often if you’d like. And if you’d rather simply relax knowing they’re in good hands without receiving constant updates, that’s completely fine too.

I’m a student and my boyfriend works shifts, so between the two of us, there’s almost always someone home with your dog. They won’t just be staying at our house, they’ll become part of our little household while they’re here. 🐾

We know how hard it can be to leave your dog behind. They’re family, after all. ❤️ Our biggest priority is making sure that both you and your dog can have a happy, comfortable and stress-free time apart, knowing they’re being looked after with plenty of love, attention and care.
