We have always loved animals, and dogs in particular have been a big part of our lives. A few years ago, we moved to the Netherlands with our beloved dog, who had been part of our family for many years. Sadly, he was already quite old and left us after giving us so many wonderful memories. We still miss him, and having a dog around the house is something we’ve really come to appreciate.

Since then, we’ve regularly looked after the dogs of several friends. We’ve enjoyed having the company, going for walks, playing, and simply having a furry friend around the house again. It made us realise how much we enjoy caring for animals, and we’d now love to expand this by welcoming more pets into our lives through Pawshake.

We both work from home, so your pet would have plenty of company and attention throughout the day. If one of us needs to go to the office, the other stays at home, so your pet will never be left alone. We live in a very quiet and peaceful area, with plenty of green space just outside our door, making it ideal for relaxed walks and getting some fresh air.

We’re happy to look after friendly, well-socialised dogs and are always keen to get to know their individual personality and routine. We can provide walks of around 30–60 minutes, depending on the dog’s age, energy level and needs, as well as playtime, meals, cuddles and plenty of attention, while keeping their normal routine as much as possible. We’re also happy to administer oral medication and to follow any specific needs or instructions your pet may have.

Our home does have stairs from the entrance up to the main living floor, so we always like to know beforehand if a pet has any difficulty with stairs or mobility. If needed, and if you prefer, we’re also happy to carry your dog up and down the stairs to make sure they are comfortable and well looked after.

And it’s not just dogs! We love animals in general and are happy to consider caring for other pets such as cats, rabbits, guinea pigs or other small animals. We’ll always discuss beforehand what your pet needs and whether we’re the right fit for them.

We also understand that leaving your beloved pet with someone else can feel very sensitive and sometimes even a little stressful. That’s why communication is important to us. We’re happy to send you regular updates, photos and little messages during your pet’s stay, so you can see how they’re doing and feel reassured while you’re away.

For us, pet sitting isn’t simply about making sure an animal is fed and looked after. We want them to feel safe, comfortable and loved while their owners are away. We’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention we would want for our own. Our goal is for you to be able to leave your pet with us feeling completely at ease, knowing they are in a safe, loving home, receiving plenty of attention and having a genuinely wonderful time. 🐾❤️
