Hi! I’m Ana, I’m 22 years old, a student from Brazil, and I’m currently living in Utrecht. I’ve always loved animals and really enjoy spending time with them. I have a special interest in animal welfare and behavior, and I love learning how each pet has its own personality, habits and way of communicating.

I live in a quiet residential neighborhood about 15 minutes by bike from Utrecht city centre. I regularly walk and cycle around the area, and there are several lovely parks and green spaces nearby where dogs are welcome, such as Wilhelminapark and Hogelandsepark. I would absolutely love to explore these places with your dog and make our walks enjoyable and relaxing.

Back in Brazil, my home country, I already had experience as a pet sitter, mainly caring for cats and dogs in the residential complex where I lived. I looked after pets with different personalities and needs, including feeding them, providing fresh water, spending time with them, playing, walking dogs and making sure they were comfortable and safe while their owners were away. This experience taught me how important it is to be responsible, attentive and patient with every animal.

I understand that every pet is different. Some dogs love long walks, playtime and meeting other dogs, while others may be nervous, shy or simply prefer a calm walk and some quiet companionship. I always take the time to understand the owner's instructions and the pet's individual routine, personality and needs. My priority is never to force an animal into something it is uncomfortable with.

For dog walks, I offer walks of at least 30 minutes. I pay attention to the dog's behavior, energy level and surroundings, and I follow the owner's preferences regarding routes, pace and interactions with other dogs. If a dog is nervous or uncomfortable, I give them space and follow the owner's recommendations, including using familiar items such as a muzzle or an anti-stress toy when appropriate.

During home visits, I usually spend at least 30 minutes with the pet. I can provide food and fresh water, play with them, give them attention and companionship, follow their usual routine and clean up when necessary. I also like to send photos and updates during the visit, because I know how reassuring it is for an owner to see that their pet is happy and doing well.

For house sitting, I follow the pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, companionship and rest. I also respect the owner's home, keep the environment clean and secure, and provide regular updates while they are away.

If your pet needs medication, I am happy to follow clear instructions and discuss everything beforehand. I would never give medication or make decisions about a pet's health without the owner's instructions.

In an emergency, my first priority is always the pet's safety. I would remain calm, contact the owner immediately and follow the emergency instructions provided. If veterinary assistance is necessary, I would contact the appropriate veterinary service and keep the owner informed throughout the situation.

I am mainly available in the morning and evening, and I’m always happy to meet the owner and pet beforehand to talk about their routine, personality and specific needs. I speak Portuguese and English, and I’m currently living in the Netherlands and practicing my Dutch.

I know that leaving a beloved pet with someone else requires trust. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved and comfortable while you are away, while giving you peace of mind knowing they are being well cared for.
