Hi! I’m Sofía, a 28-year-old Master’s student from Chile, currently living in Diemen and studying at the University of Amsterdam.

Animals, especially dogs, have always been a big part of my life. I grew up surrounded by dogs and currently have four back home in Chile. I’m very used to caring for dogs with different personalities and routines, and I genuinely love spending time with them. I also have experience with cats: during the past year, I lived with two cats and became familiar with their daily routines, feeding, litter care, playtime and their different ways of asking for (or avoiding) attention.

Dog walking

My standard dog walk is around 30 minutes. During the walk, I’ll follow your usual routine as closely as possible and pay attention to your dog’s energy level, personality and needs. Longer walks can also be arranged in advance.

Home visits

A standard home visit lasts around 45 minutes. During the visit, I can feed your pet, refresh their water, clean litter boxes, play with them, take dogs outside when needed and, of course, spend some time giving them attention and company. I’m also happy to send photos and a short update after each visit.

House sitting

I can also stay at your home to care for your pets while you are away. During house sitting, I will stay overnight and spend as much time as possible with your pet around my university schedule. On days when I have classes, I may need to be away for a few hours, so I will always discuss your pet’s routine and how long they are comfortable being alone before accepting a booking.

I will follow your pet’s usual feeding, walking and sleeping routines and keep your home tidy during my stay. I will also make sure doors and windows are properly secured when leaving, keep keys safe, and follow any specific home or pet-safety instructions you provide.

Availability

As a Master’s student, my schedule varies throughout the week, which gives me flexibility for walks, home visits and overnight stays. My availability depends on my university schedule, so I prefer to arrange each booking individually to make sure I can give your pet the time and attention they need.

I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats. Having grown up with dogs, I’m particularly confident around them, although for walks I prefer dogs that can be safely managed on a leash and don’t have serious aggressive behaviours.

I know how much trust it takes to leave both your pet and your home in someone else’s care. My priority is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable and loved while you’re away, while respecting their normal routine and your home. I’d be very happy to meet you and your pet beforehand!
