Hi! My name is Lizzie and I love being with animals and in nature. I am a youthful, very responsible, calm and friendly 51 year old. I was brought up in the English countryside and have had dogs, cats and guinea pigs most of my life until more recently when life became unsuitable for owning pets because of travelling etc. I'm not much of a photo person so don't have many pics of me with animals as yet! :)

More recently I have often taken care of my friend's two very sweet yorkie poos - Lalla from about 13 years ago until she sadly passed from lung cancer almost 2 years ago, and more recently Lalla's grandson Thor (I know! ;) ) who is very bouncy, sweet, 1.5 years old and ridiculously cute!

I was inspired to try housesitting on my recent trip to Australia (my partner is from NE Victoria). We met with friends, one of whom is also housesitting, and two others who had lovely dogs I wished I could spend more time with.

In the past I have worked with children through social services, worked as a receptionist in a healthcare centre, and I now rent a room in my house on airbnb. I love to make people happy during their stay, and have been a 'superhost' for over 2 years. I love to spend time with animals - and I greatly miss having a pet. My priority will always be to ensure that your pet is taken care of according to their needs - whether they like to play, cuddle or just be, whether they are excited or anxious, I will help them feel relaxed and allow them to set the pace of our interaction.

I am happy to meet owners and animals before a sit starts, especially as I'm new on this site, to put potential pet parents at ease, and I can do a sit at short notice. I'm very much looking forward to meeting you and your beloved pets!
