Some background information: My husband and I had the privilage to share our home with our much-loved cat for the past five years, until he passed away recently due to a heart condition. Although we are not ready to adopt again just yet, pet sitting felt like a great way to have animals in our lives again and give them plenty of love and attention.

My experience: I have plenty of hands-on experience with everyday cat care, different personalities and routines, as well as administering medication when needed.

I also regularly look after my friends’ cats when they are away, and we often help each other with pet sitting. Because of this, I am comfortable caring for cats both in their own homes and in mine.

Cats are very welcome to stay with us. Our house is secured without any garden. We still have a cat tree, litter box, scratching board and toys at home. I am also happy to visit cats in their own home. I know how quiet the house can feel when their humans are away, so I never want a visit to be just a quick feeding stop. I always try to spend quality time with them, whether that means playing, cuddling or simply keeping them company -depending on your preference.

I absolutely love dogs too and would be very happy to help with dog walking. Unfortunately, because of my husband’s allergy, I cannot offer dog boarding in our home.

Every animal has their own personality, and I am happy to adapt to what makes them feel safest and most comfortable.
