Rustige, ervaren kattenoppas voor jouw beste maatje!

Hoi! Ik ben Maxime. Ik woon samen met mijn vriend en 2 katten, Bolt en Borre (3 jaar oud), in de omgeving Den Haag/Leidschendam-Voorburg. Ik ben al van jongs af aan dol op katten en inmiddels ook al ruim 20 jaar een trotse kattenbaas. Die liefde neem ik mee in mijn vrijwilligerswerk bij NDZ, waar ik nu al meer dan 4 jaar actief ben. Ik werk daar vooral bij de seniorenkatten, en breng daarnaast graag tijd door met katten die wat extra aandacht en begrip nodig hebben. Ik let op hun lichaamstaal, probeer goed aan te voelen wat ze nodig hebben, en pas mijn aanpak rustig aan op hun tempo. Geduld, aandacht en respect voor hun grenzen staan bij mij altijd voorop. Of een kat nou het liefst in een vertrouwd holletje blijft, alleen een aai over de bol wil, een uitgebreide borstelsessie wenst, of achter een verenhengel of krinkelballetje aan wil rennen... ik geef ze graag alle tijd!

Naast knuffelen, borstelen en spelen, heb ik ook ervaring met het toedienen van verschillende soorten medicatie. Of het nu gaat om pillen ingeven, vloeistoffen toedienen met een spuitje (bijv. Novacam), of medicatiehapjes voeren, ook dit ik graag zo rustig en zo stressvrij mogelijk. Volgt je kat een speciaal dieet? Dit is geen probleem, hier kan ik goed mee overweg.

Als je het fijn vindt en ook je kat is er gerust op, dan stuur ik je tijdens mijn bezoek met alle liefde een foto toe van je kat. Ook een berichtje met wat meer informatie bespreekbaar, laat me dit dan zeker weten!

Ten slotte: Omdat ik zelf twee katten heb, bied ik op dit moment uitsluitend huisbezoeken aan. Zo blijft jouw kat in zijn/haar vertrouwde omgeving, wat ze vaak het fijnst vinden!

I have loved cats from a young age and I have now been a proud cat owner for over 20 years. This love carries over in my volunteer work at Stichting Nationale Dierenzorg (NDZ), where I have been an active volunteer for over 4 years. At NDZ, I mainly volunteer with the senior cats, but I also like to spend some extra time with cats who need some additional attention and care. I pay close attention to their body language and try to get a feel for what they might need to tailor my approach to their particular needs. Patience, care and respect for their boundaries are my priority. Whether a cat prefers to stay tucked away in their cozy hideout, wants exactly one pet on their head, requests an extensive brushing or wants to run after a feather or crinkle toy... I am happy to give them all the time they need!

Besides providing cuddles, brushing sessions, or play time, I am also experienced in administering different types of medication (pills and fluids by hand, mixed in with their meal or encapsulated in a special treat). I administer the necessary medication as calmly and as stress-free as possible. Is your cat on a special diet? That’s absolutely no problem! I’m familiar with handling dietary needs.

Finally, because I have two cats myself, I currently only offer house visits. This way, your cat can stay in their familiar environment, which they usually prefer!
