Hi, I’m Iris! I’m an animal lover living in The Hague and I’d be happy to help care for your pets when you’re busy or away.

I have personal experience caring for cats and spending time with dogs, including accompanying dogs on walks and following their usual routines. I understand that every pet has a different personality, energy level and comfort zone, so I always take time to listen to the owner’s instructions and get to know the pet before caring for them independently.

For dog walking, I offer a 30-minute walk. I will follow your dog’s normal route, pace and walking habits whenever possible. I keep dogs on leash unless the owner has specifically discussed a safe alternative with me, and I pay attention to traffic, other dogs and anything that may make your dog uncomfortable. I will not force interactions with unfamiliar dogs or people.

For home visits, a typical visit lasts around 30 minutes. I can feed your pet, refresh water, clean litter trays or small messes, play with them and spend some relaxed time keeping them company. I’m also happy to send a short update and photos after the visit.

If something unexpected happens, such as your pet seeming unwell, becoming unusually anxious, or there being a problem during a walk or visit, I will first make sure the pet is safe and contact you as soon as possible. I will always follow any emergency instructions you provide and will never make unnecessary decisions without informing you.

I am generally available in the mornings, evenings and on weekends, and I can sometimes be flexible during the day depending on the date.

I’m patient, responsible and respectful of both your pet and your home. I’m happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so I can learn about your pet’s habits, preferences, commands and any special needs.
