Hi! I'm Ira.

I've lived with animals for my whole life, so being around them has never felt like a hobby, it has always been my normal.

Back home I have three dogs with completely different personalities: Marley (my Golden Retriever), Stitch (my Corgi), and Tyson (my Chihuahua). Every weekend we'd disappear somewhere into nature—the lake, the forest, the fields. Marley would jump straight into the water, Stitch would sprint around like he owned the place, and Tyson would usually decide that finding the perfect shady spot was enough adventure for one day.

Living with them taught me that every dog has their own language. Some need to run, some need to sniff every leaf on the pavement, and some just want someone patient beside them. They became such a huge part of my life that I even have a tattoo of all three of them.

When I was 14, I started taking Marley to dog shows. Watching him grow into a World Champion was incredible, but what stayed with me most wasn't the titles, it was learning how much trust, consistency, and quiet communication matter.

I've also grown up with cats, so I'm just as happy looking after a curious cat as I am heading out with an energetic dog. I know that cats usually prefer to make the first move, and I'm perfectly happy letting them set the pace.

After moving to Utrecht for university, I realised I miss the little everyday moments with animals the most: the walks, the routines, the feeling of coming home to a wagging tail. That's honestly why I'm here.

One thing that's a little different about me: I used to be a professional dog photographer, and I even had an exhibition of my work. You'll always get photo updates after our walks, and if your dog happens to strike a particularly cute pose, I'll send you a couple of professional portrait photos as a little surprise.

What I offer

• 30-minute Dog Walk – A personalised walk with plenty of time to sniff, explore, and enjoy being a dog.
• One Home Visit – Feeding, fresh water, playtime, cuddles (if they're the cuddly type), and photo updates.
• Two Home Visits – Two separate visits in one day to keep your pet company and their routine consistent.

I'm comfortable with puppies, large dogs, energetic breeds, senior dogs, and cats who appreciate a calm, respectful approach.

A few practical details

I currently offer walks and home visits at your home, as I'm not able to host pets in my apartment. I'm based in Utrecht, have a flexible student schedule, and can often help with same-day bookings when I'm available.

If it's your dog's first time meeting me, I'm always happy to arrange a free meet-and-greet first. I'd much rather earn both your trust and theirs than rush into the first walk.

P.S. Please don't judge the lack of photos of me with dogs too harshly. I spent years behind the camera, which somehow resulted in thousands of dog photos and almost no selfies with them. Turns out I was much better at making them the stars of the picture than myself 📸
