Hi! My name is Giovana - I'm a psychology student based in the center of Rotterdam, living in a pet-friendly apartment with easy access to het park (just a 15 minute walk away).

Growing up with dogs gave me a deep appreciation for how much pets rely on routine, consistency and feeling genuinely comfortable with the people around them. Since moving out on my own, I've missed that companionship, which is a big part of why pet sitting feels like such a natural fit for me.

I understand that handing over your pet to someone new requires real trust, and I take that seriously, whether it's sticking to schedules, keeping owners updated, or simply making sure your dog feels right at home. My background in psychology has sharpened how I read behavior and respond to individual needs, and I make sure to bring that same attentiveness to the animals in my care.

My schedule is very flexible - I only have a few classes a week, so dogs in my care are never left alone for more than 3 hours at a time. I take them out at least 2-3 times a day, adjusting the length and intensity of walks to match their energy level. I also have experience with both high energy and anxious dogs, I know that a nervous dog needs space and patience to come to you on their own terms, while a boisterous one needs an outlet. Every dog is different, and I adapt accordingly.

When welcoming a new dog, I like to let them set the pace - they're free to sniff around and explore the space. I show them where their bowl and bed are early on, so they have a clear sense of their own space. I'm happy to follow any special feeding instructions, dietary needs, or medication routines as long as everything is explained and provided beforehand. In the unlikely event of an emergency, there's a vet just a 2 minute walk from my apartment, so help is always close by.

I only accept vaccinated pets into my home to ensure that the environment stays safe and healthy for all.
