Hi there! I am a passionate animal lover currently living in the Netherlands for a predoctoral research stay in Leiden. When I discovered Pawshake, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to combine two of my biggest passions: science and animals.

A Lifetime Around Furry Friends

Animals have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, our home was always filled with cats and dogs. To this day, I am that person who simply cannot walk past a dog or a cat on the street without stopping to play or take a picture!

My Fur Babies & Experience

My pets are truly like my children to me:

• Lia & Micky: I adopted Lia when I turned 24. Later, when I moved back to my parents' house, I took on the care of both Lia and Micky. They are my absolute world!

• Dog Experience: For 16 wonderful years, we had a beloved dog who passed away last year due to old age. Missing that canine presence is why caring for dogs is so special to me.

• Family Pet Sitter: Whenever family travels, I am always the trusted go-to person for their pets' care.

Services Offered

• House / Drop-in Visits: Feeding, cuddles, playing, and quality company.

• Dog Walking: Tailored to your dog's energy—30 minutes, 1 hour, or more!

• House Sitting (Stay-at-Home Care): Available near Leiden on weekdays, and in any city across the Netherlands on weekends (I love discovering new cities during my days off!).

Practical Details & Peace of Mind

• Daily Updates: I believe in open communication! I will send you regular updates with photos and videos after every visit or walk so you always know your pet is happy and safe.

• Time Alone: During weekdays, because of my lab schedule, pets are left alone for a maximum of 4 to 6 hours at a time. During weekend house-sitting, I dedicate almost all my time directly to your pet.

• Safety & Emergencies: As a researcher, I am organized and calm under pressure. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will contact you immediately, follow your exact instructions, and promptly reach out to a local veterinarian.
