Hi! My name is Iris and I’m a Psychology student at Maastricht University. I’ve grown up with a dog since I was 8 years old, and he was part of my everyday life until I moved away from my hometown to study at university. So I have many years of hands-on experience caring for a dog. I was used to feeding him, taking him for walks, playing with him, keeping him company and looking after him as part of my daily routine. Growing up with a dog also taught me to be patient and to pay attention to their behaviour and needs.

I offer dog sitting at my apartment, both during the day and for overnight stays. I want dogs staying with me to feel comfortable and at home, so they’ll get plenty of attention, playtime, cuddles and walks. I can normally take them for 30–60 minute walks around my area in Maastricht, but I’m happy to adjust this depending on their age, energy level and normal routine.

As a student, my schedule is quite flexible and I spend a lot of time at home. If I do have classes, I’ll always discuss this with you beforehand, so you know exactly how long your dog might be alone. I won’t leave them alone for longer than we have agreed.

I live in an apartment and I make sure doors and windows are secure when a dog is staying with me. I’m also happy to follow your usual routine for feeding, walking and sleeping, as well as any other instructions you have.

Most importantly, I know from having my own dog how important it is to trust the person you leave them with. I’ll treat your dog with the same care and attention I would want someone to give my own.

Before the first booking, I’d be happy to meet you and your dog so we can get to know each other and make sure they feel comfortable with me. 🐶🤍
