Hi! My name is Lynn, and I’m an animal lover currently living in Leiden. I am a phd student whose main task is writing up her phd dissertation. As a result, I could have a very flexible schedule and I could work from home to stay with pets. I truly miss having animals around me and would love to spend more time caring for cats and dogs.

IMPORTANT NOTES FIRST:

I usually responde fast, and I appreciate EFFICIENT COMMUNICATION that you can save your time to company your fluffy boys and girls more. We value each other's time. 

We can commmunicate in English. I don't speak Dutch well ATM.

My appartment is only a 42 m2 appartment with a seperate bedroom. Not a good choice for villa dogs. But no worries, we are very close to Leidse Hout, which is a beautiful park with woods, lakes, and off-leash areas. I enjoy walking with doggies there a lot! The walk could be 30 mins shorter one to 1 hour longer one. Also, there is a big inner garden within our complex, which is very convenient for little breaks. 

I would like to keep things flexible and affordable. I am not happy to see that people who care about their pets lose money due to changes of their plans. However, I would appreiciate that you let me know your changes of plan as early as possible. 

I only accept one dog at a time unless two from a same family who are used to living together. I do not want to see dogs being sad from not getting enough attention from humans. 

I care about the tidiness of the house in a way that both pets and humans can enjoy a nice living space. I allow pets on sofa and furnitures and on my lap. I would like to cuddle them a lot if they want. As a result, I would clean the paws after muddy walk using a soft wet wipe in a very gentle way. If your pet doesn't like paws being touched, then I am not a suitable sitter for them. 

For safety reasons, I don't accept boys and girls who are heavier than 18kg. Otherwise I may have difficulties in unusual situations where I need to carry/lift them.

My family has a cream-colored Shiba Inu who is a bit stubborn but incredibly adorable. We love him a lot! I also have hands-on experience caring for a British Shorthair silver shaded cat, whom I looked after for several months alone while helping a friend. During that time, I was responsible for daily feeding, litter cleaning, and providing companionship, while keeping the cat comfortable and relaxed in its usual routine.

Animals have always been an important part of my life. My mom is especially good at caring for animals — from chicks, birds, and rabbits to dogs — and she has always taken excellent care of them. Growing up in that environment, I believe I’ve inherited her patience, sense of responsibility, and genuine love for animals.

When babysitting, I focus on following each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. For dogs, this includes regular walks, playtime, and calm interaction based on their energy level. For cats, I respect their personality — whether they enjoy active play or prefer quiet company. I always make sure pets have fresh food and water, a clean environment, and plenty of attention.

Before each stay, I’m happy to arrange a visit or meet-up with you and your pets so we can go through any important details together. I truly appreciate it when owners share their pets’ preferences, habits, and routines — every boy and girl is unique, and understanding what they like helps me provide better, more personalized care.

I pay close attention to safety, hygiene, and the well-being of each animal, and I’m always willing to adapt my care to different personalities or special needs. I genuinely enjoy looking after pets and value the comfort and joy they bring. I would be more than happy to provide a safe, caring, and loving environment where your furry family members feel secure and well cared for.
