Hey, I'm Povilas,

I've been raised by a cat, her name was "Pupa" (a bean, in Lithuanian), it's a true story. I was born when my parents just got a new cat and she was there from day one. She lived in the most loving and caring household ever, she got old and reached 22 before passing away and now I continue my journey without her.

While we had a cat we were also taking care of puppies. We had 2 bernese mountain dogs, they both lived to around age 7-8 when they finally had to be put down due to terminal ilness.

I've had my own fair share of experience from playing with the dogs, to relaxing in a comfy chair or a couch petting the cat and enjoying each other's company and heat. I also worked at a pet shelter as a volunteer when I was a teenager, it's trully disheartening how some people choose to abandon their pets when it gets inconvenient.

I think I'm personally a great pet dad as my cat used to love licking me and would come over to protect me if my parents were angry at me. Of course you don't need to say anything about the dogs, they're man's greatest friends and both of them would love going for walks and playing fetch.

I now moved to the Eindhoven, Netherlands for studying my Master's in Computer Science and since wanted to get a pet, but I couldn't afford a 24/7 care. I live with my girlfriend Aastha (you can see her in a few photos) together we share the love for animals and are both happy and proud pet parents. We thought registering for Pawshake and helping other's take care of their pets while they're away could be a great start.

We live in an appartment and one of us always stays home so your pets are never alone, there are parks nearby (5min walk) and a few dog friendly areas too, so walking around the house is always easy.

Usually we do an evening walk together for 30-60min so cats and dogs are very welcome to join us too.

We start our day at around 7:30 when we wake up and have breakfast, so your pets get a full day of care. Then one of us stays home while the other one goes to work. Your pets will have a person to socialise with at all times.

We have a bed which we can share with a smaller pet or a sofa or the independent ones, if pets prefer the floor then the small crate we have decked with super fluffy blankets is the perfect place for them.

For starters we would like to take care of a single pet at a time, however, if you’ve got 2 at home we will take both, noone should be left lonely.

If the pets need any medication please let us know in advance, we wil then make sure to take them from you and arrange the medication schedule. In case of an emergency we do not hesitate to contact the vet. During the last years of my pets I had to endure more visits to the vet than I’d like to remember.
