Hello!
We are Öykü and Cem, we are living in Amsterdam - Buitenveldert for the last 7 years. We were born and raised in Istanbul. We have a cat (Cheddar) and also a dog (Susie), that we adopted from Turkey. We always had cats and dogs in our homes since we were kids. Also growing up in Istanbul meant we always cared and looked after stray animals, and of course you never go to your home without greeting the cats in your neighborhood.

Joining Pawshake
As of Summer 2026 we also want to help take care of other people's loved ones officially. We have been doing this for a while in Amsterdam for our close friends, so why not also do it for other people!

Our jobs
We are both 30 years old and we work full time - Öykü is a Senior Lawyer working in the Health Tech industry, and Cem is a Senior Product Designer in the Finance Industry. We both work almost fully remote. That means we also have the flexibility to just pack our laptops and work a bit from your place when we visit for your pet (only if you wish of course)

How can we help you
Because we have 2 pets at home, we can not host any pets. We can do home visitations for your cat, or walk your dog and spend time with them. We are flexible to go to any place in Amsterdam where we can bike.

- Photo and video updates
- At least 1 hour per day with your cat when we visit
- Will follow the feeding routine that you give to us.
- We can give medications (please tell us in detail and prepare the dosage before you leave)

It is very important for us to respect and follow the routine of your pets. Since we live with a traumatized stray dog, we know even small changes can make a pet uncomfortable. So please give us all the details of your pet beforehand!

We are looking forward to hear from you, and we can do a free meet and greet at your place before we shake hands.
