Hi, I'm Aiganym (Aika if it's easier)and I'm currently an international student at the UvA. I've had 9+ years of experience with dogs, as I actually have a dog myself, which I miss a lot since she's back home. I loved animals since I was little, but getting a dog myself made me love them even more. I'm responsible and have been taking care of animals throughout my life. At first fishes, and then my first dog at 12. I've trained my own dogs tricks like sit, stay, lay down and so on. I love to be around dogs, playing with them, spending time and bonding. That's why I decided to become a dog sitter, to not only have fun myself but also take care of such beautiful creatures and make them feel comfortable and happy. I like to adapt to the dogs personality, if a dog likes laying down or taking it slow, I will also slow down and reduce my energy. If not, I'm happy to go on short runs in the park or taking extra time to play. I do 30 minute walks as a start and see if the dog needs more exercise. I will keep the leash on for the whole walk until the doggy will get more comfortable with me. I will update with pictures and short notes about dogs behavior at the end of the walk/ sitting. I'm more comfortable with smaller breeds and can take up to 3 small dogs. In case of emergency, I like to keep the owner's phone number nearby and the location of vet clinics. I'm comfortable with jumping in and helping myself (if a dog is choking for example). I try to understand the dogs history but at first I will refrain from interacting with other dogs to protect your pup from being attacked.
