Hi, my name is Amalia. I am 27 years old. I’m originally from Belgium, grew up in France, and now live in Amsterdam. I work in finance at a large Dutch bank, often from home, and while I enjoy my job, what truly makes me happy is spending time with animals.

I have been surrounded by dogs my entire life and have experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I helped raise 12 puppies when my childhood dog had a litter, rode horses for many years, and volunteered with shelter dogs during my travels in Latin America. Over the years, I have learned how to understand dogs’ body language and adapt to their individual needs. Whether a dog is energetic and playful, older and calm, or a little shy and sensitive, I enjoy taking the time to build trust and make them feel comfortable.

People often describe me as very structured, patient, and attentive. I like following the routines that dogs are already familiar with because I know consistency helps them feel safe. During walks, I adapt to what your dog enjoys and is used to. Some dogs are happiest with a relaxed 30-minute walk, while others enjoy longer adventures of up to an hour. I pay close attention to their energy levels and signals to make sure they have a positive experience.

For dog walking, I am happy to care for dogs of any size. My family has owned both very large and small dogs, so I am comfortable handling different breeds and temperaments.

If your dog stays with me, I live in a quiet apartment in Amsterdam. There is no elevator, so I can only accommodate smaller dogs that I can comfortably carry up the stairs (up to around 10 kg). I work from home regularly, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day.

Animals bring me peace, balance, and joy. Since it’s not yet possible for me to have a dog of my own in Amsterdam, I would love the opportunity to spend time with yours and care for them as if they were my own. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I will make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and happy.
