Hi, I'm Vivian, an avid animal lover with more than 30 years of experience caring for all types of pets, from fish and rabbits to turtles and hamsters to cats and dogs!
A former pet owner and farm volunteer, I am more than well-versed in the intricate ins and outs of looking after your beloved family member, so rest assured that they will be in the most capable hands. Over the years, I have learned that one of my greatest personal joys comes from connecting with animals and providing them with the love and attention they need to thrive and be happy.

A bit about me, I am a Dutch/Colombian freelance content writer living in The Hague. As I work from home most of the time, I have a flexible schedule that can easily accommodate your pet's schedule, routines, and needs, allowing me to provide consistent, reliable care tailored to your pet's specific requirements. Plus, I feel that my multicultural background has given me a unique perspective on caring for pets from diverse households, understanding that each animal has its own personality and needs.

I specialize in the care of dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, breeds, and backgrounds, as well as smaller mammals like rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. My experience spans from energetic puppies requiring constant attention to senior pets needing gentle, specialized care. From dog-walking and feeding schedules to overnight stays and daily check-ins, I offer an extensive array of dedicated pet-care services with a personal touch.

Services I offer:

• Dog walking;
• Dog sitting at your house - daily check-ins, feeding, walking, grooming if needed, and playing (1 hour) ; 
• Overnight dog sitting (same services as day) at my house;
• Cat sitting at your house - daily check-ins, feeding, grooming if needed, litter box changing with playtime (1 hour);
• Overnight cat sitting (same services as day) at my house;
• Other small animals sitting (day) at your house or overnight at my house.

Depending on your pet's needs, I can walk them up to four times a day in the nearby dog park, Scheveningen Bosjes, and the beach, for 20 minutes to an hour/half at a time. Some of these areas are open for off-leash running & playing if preferable for your dog. 

Next to the daily care of your pet (walking, feeding, playing, and cuddling), I can also groom them as needed. I live alone, in a cute 2-room apartment in the Zeeheldenkwartier, on the second floor, with a small closed-off balcony, with plenty of green spaces nearby for walking. Depending on the needs of your pet, they are welcome to sleep on my sofa and in bed (or not, if this is not what they enjoy at home ;).) *Please note that although I am experienced in giving pill medication to dogs & cats, I am not (as of yet) experienced in giving injection medicine.

I can take up to two dogs or cats at a time in my apartment, although I prefer to give love and care to dogs and cats who are not from the same family, whenever possible.
*Please note that I do not usually accept dogs and cats at the same time unless they are from the same family, this is to ensure they do not get nervous or anxious around each other.
