My name is Ranjika and I am currently doing my masters. I come from India and I speak English and Bengali fluently. I also speak German at the B1 level and I can speak and understand spoken Hindi. I can also speak some basic Dutch and have been living here and pet sitting for almost 4 years now.
Back home in Kolkata, my family has 4 pet dogs who are all rescued strays. Moreover, I used to take care of many stray dogs throughout my life. Two of my dogs are male (6 months and 7 years old) and the other two are female (4 and 14 years old respectively). My first dog was very traumatised as a child and as a result does not take to people very well. I have administered oral medication to him and kept him restrained during vaccinations, which is a major feat considering his levels of aggression. We rescued our oldest dog in January, 2023. She was a senior dog with tick fever and an acute haemoglobin deficiency. I orally administered 6 different medicines to her twice a day for a whole month. I believe my experience with both aggressive dogs and senior dogs makes me an ideal sitter for most homes.
Unfortunately, since I am a student I do not have a living situation that allows me to keep pets but i am completely open to house sitting your dogs when you need it. As a house sitter, I can water your plants and take in the mail if it is required. I can stay at your house for 2-3 days, preferably in the weekends. I can also take them for 30-45 minute walks. I am usually available in the evenings but my availability varies depending on my university schedule.
