I have raised two dogs for almost 15 years. Last year, I had to say goodbye to my first dog, and as every dog family knows, that kind of farewell is truly heartbreaking. I still remember the very first moment she arrived at our home—just five months old, exploring, sniffing, and discovering everything with curiosity.

When she turned three, she had three puppies, and we decided to keep one. From then on, we grew together as I grew older myself. Humans live long lives, but dogs stay with us for only a short time. Through their entire life cycle, they brought me joy, comfort, and countless happy memories. To me, taking care of a dog means taking care of a soulmate.

As dogs get older, just like humans, they need more attention and thoughtful care. My dog also lost her ability to walk during the last seven months of her life, and our family stayed close, checking her condition regularly and supporting her in every way we could. Those moments—simply spending time together—became some of the most meaningful memories of my life.
