Hi! My name is Wenqi, and I have around one year of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I have also had pets myself, so I understand how important it is to provide them with a safe, calm, and loving environment while their owners are away.

I have experience with feeding, walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes, brushing coats, and giving oral medication when needed. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding times, portion sizes, medication schedules, sleeping arrangements, and any specific habits or house rules.

I am currently doing an internship in Wageningen. My schedule is flexible, and my workplace is very close to my home, so I can return home easily when needed. I also live with my partner, who genuinely loves animals and is usually at home during the day. I remain the primary caregiver and take full responsibility for your pet, but this means pets are rarely left completely alone. If they do need to be left alone, it would normally only be for a short period, and I will always discuss this with the owner in advance.

For dogs, the duration and frequency of walks will always be agreed with the owner beforehand and adapted to the dog’s age, health, energy level, and normal routine. Depending on the dog’s needs, walks may be short toilet breaks, regular 20–30-minute walks, or longer walks for more active dogs. I always keep dogs on a leash unless the owner specifically requests otherwise and it is safe and legally permitted.

When welcoming a new pet into my home, I allow them time to explore and adjust at their own pace. I keep the environment calm, show them where their food, water, bed, and litter box are, and avoid overwhelming them with too much attention at the beginning. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel secure.

I prefer to care for a small number of pets at the same time so that each animal receives enough individual attention. Before accepting multiple pets, I will discuss their personalities, routines, and compatibility with their owners. Pets from different households will only be cared for together when this has been clearly agreed in advance and when it is safe for everyone involved.

My home is clean, quiet, and pet-friendly. Although I do not have a fenced garden, I keep doors and windows securely closed and supervise pets carefully. During walks, dogs remain safely leashed. I also pay close attention to changes in appetite, energy, behaviour, or toilet habits. If anything unusual happens, I will contact the owner immediately and follow their emergency instructions, including contacting a veterinarian if necessary.

Every pet has a different personality, so I adapt my care accordingly. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, elderly, playful, or simply enjoys a peaceful place to rest, I will respect their boundaries and make sure they receive appropriate attention, exercise, and companionship.
