I am a 26 year old British dog trainer living in the Netherlands with my Dutch partner. I have a Bachelors degree (hons) in Canine Behaviour and Welfare and I specialise in working with reactive dogs.
For 5 years, I worked in a dog daycare in the UK caring for all kinds of dogs, from Chihuahuas to Newfoundlands.
I am also a fond lover of horses, cats and Syrian hamsters.
My own dog is reactive, so I have a special appreciation for dogs that are selective with other dogs or who are completely averse to them. Thus, I am more than keen to work with and care for dogs that require more specialist handling and knowledge.
I work using modern training techniques, aiming to avoid scenarios and methods that dogs may or do find aversive.
To maintain my understanding of canine behaviour, I remain actively interested in dog training seminars and courses. You can never know enough and there's always more to learn. I particularly enjoy the courses given through the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) as I have learned a lot from them over the years.
I am keen to offer dog walks for reactive and non-reactive dogs alike, though I will never walk dogs from separate households together unless specifically requested by both owners. This is to avoid conflict and stress which can occur when mixing unfamiliar dogs.
House sitting is also something I enjoy. It's nice to have a change of scenery and to get to know a pet in their own home. I am very clean and spend most of my time, when not doing something dog related, reading or playing video games.
I am able to train many tricks and behaviours during my time with your pet, if this interests you, feel free to chat with me about what you would like me to do with your pet.
Working with anxious or fearful dogs is no problem for me and I have plenty of previous experience.
For home visits during the day, I will spend approximately 1 hour (per visit) with your pet. This way I can let them out to toilet, check them over, and ensure they have fresh water (and food if necessary). Once anything that needs doing is out of the way, I will spend time with your pet in whatever way they prefer, either playing, chilling, or training.
My dog walks are usually at least 1 hour in duration, however, if you would like more or less I am more than willing to discuss it. I focus on allowing the dog to explore at their own pace, spending time to sniff, and reducing stress. With reactive dogs, I employ a number of management methods to try and keep the dog below their reaction threshold as much as possible.
During house sitting, I will usually spend most of the day at your home with your pet. I may go out for a maximum of 3 hours to get fresh clothes or go to the supermarket. Your dog will receive lots of interaction and stimulation, if they so wish. If they're more antisocial, I am also happy to coexist with them respectfully.
I am usually available most mornings and afternoons but can be flexible if required.
Look forward to meeting you and your pet(s)!

Thanks so much Taylor. Great communication and very friendly for our new puppy.
Taylor was an amazing cat sitter. She was great with our two cats, took her time to get to know them and play with them. We appreciated the daily report she wrote and the additional pictures and videos. The house was in a good shape when we came home, Taylor cleaned up the mess our kittens made as much as possible. Overall great experience, we would contact Taylor again!
