About Me: Experienced and Loving Care Near Westerpark

Hi there! I am a big dog lover who has been surrounded by four-legged friends my whole life. Growing up with family dogs around the house taught me from an early age how to understand them, their personalities, and routines. Most recently, I co-parented a dog right here in an Amsterdam apartment, so I am completely used to navigating city streets, stairs, and apartment life with a pup. While I don’t have my own dog at the moment, I really miss having their energy around, which is why I’m looking forward to pet sitting. I have personal experience with dachshunds, schnauzers, weimaraners, and labradoodles.

I live alone in a quiet, cozy apartment near Westerpark. Because there are no other pets or kids here, it’s a calm and predictable space—perfect for dogs who prefer a peaceful environment or get easily overwhelmed. I also have a secure, cozy balcony where your pup can relax, catch a breeze, and watch the world go by safely.

What I Offer

Doggy Daycare:

This covers a full day of companionship (typically up to 8–10 hours). I work from home 3 to 4 days a week, so your dog will have a dedicated buddy keeping them company all day long. They can snooze right by my desk, get plenty of belly rubs between my calls, and receive undivided attention.

1-on-1 Focus & Constant Company:

To ensure the highest quality of care and safety, I only take in one dog at a time (or two if they are from the same household). Because I am home all day, your dog will not be left alone (except maybe short walk to a grocery store or similar). They will have my presence and supervision throughout their stay.

Dog Walking:

Every walk lasts around 45 to 60 minutes. Living right next to Westerpark means we have the perfect playground right on our doorstep. Walks will be high-quality, with lots of time for sniffing, exploring, and burning off energy in the park.

Safety, Intro & Temperaments

New Dog Introductions: I always prefer a quick meet-and-greet beforehand so we can see how your dog likes the new space. On their first official day, I keep things incredibly low-pressure, letting them explore my apartment at their own pace while I give them space to settle in comfortably.

Handling Different Temperaments: Having lived with breeds ranging from sensitive Weimaraners to independent Dachshunds, I know that every dog needs a different approach. Whether your pup is an energetic social butterfly or a shy soul who needs a gentle voice and a quiet corner, I adapt my energy to match theirs.

Emergency Plan: I am highly responsible and always keep your vet's contact details and emergency contacts on hand when you drop them off. If anything ever seems off, you will be notified immediately.

My Preferences & Details

Who I Care For: I’m happy to welcome small to medium-sized dogs who are house-trained and comfortable with apartment living and city sounds.

What Doesn't Suit My Setup: My space isn't ideal for very large or high-energy breeds that need a massive fenced yard to run around in all day.

Availability: My main days for daycare are when I work from home (usually Monday, Wednesday, Friday), sometimes I am also flexible on weekends for walks and occasional boarding.

I treat every dog like family and will make sure they feel safe, happy, and thoroughly loved. I’m also more than happy to send you photo and video updates throughout the day!
