Hi there! I'm Katrina, an American expat that moved to Amsterdam with my partner four years ago and have always been a lover of all animals, big and small. 

In March of this year, I lost both my 13-year-old chocolate Labrador, and my 10-year-old tuxedo cat within two weeks of each other. And it's been way too quiet around my apartment. I used to walk to Beatrixpark 3x a day with my Lab and, although I am REALLY missing that animal companionship in my life, it's a little too soon to bring a new animal into our home. 

That's why I would love to take your dog for its daily walk or check up on your cats and give them some extra love while you are at work. I've grown up with large dogs and have always had a cat around. When I first moved to Amsterdam, I also had another cat, who also passed away almost two years ago. It's been strange to go from three animals to none in such a short amount of time.

I used to pet sit my mom's Labrador when I lived in the USA and I am very comfortable with all sizes of dogs. When I take a dog for a walk, I let them go on, what I call, a "sniffari," where they can sniff as much as they want and just enjoy their time outdoors. Living in an apartment, I feel like this is important for city dogs. I don't have any children, so I've always treated my animals like they are my kids, and they are always my priority. It would be no different for the animals that I pet sit.

I live in Amsterdam Zuid and after recently completing my Master's degree, I am trying to find a full time job. But for the time being, I am pretty flexible with my schedule.

I can't wait to meet your furry family member and hopefully get to take care of them like they were my own.
