Our family has always had 2 dogs at all times, so I've experienced every life stage + cycle of a dog's life multiple times (~7-8x). I've had training young puppies, to integrating adult dogs into their routines, fostering dogs for short periods of time, administering care and medication for senior dogs. I am obsessed with dogs–I have always wanted one of my own. I live on my own in the city, and I travel for work sporadically, so it hasn't worked out for me yet, but being a dog sitter is a great solve for my lifestyle and dog-love. I work at an office that allows dogs, so for the days I go to the office, I would plan to bring the dog to the office (on Herengracht) and would be interacting with other dogs. There are strict dog-behavior rules at the office, so all the dogs are very well trained.

I would prefer to have pets that are vaccinated, but open to discussion!

I can go on multiple shorter walks/bathroom breaks (15-20 minutes) with the dog daily, and 1-2 longer walks daily (45-60 minutes). I have a lot of area-options in my apartment for a dog-bed/cozy area, but I am also happy to have the dog sleep in bed with me (i'm single and live alone). If there is more than one dog, i have an opportunity to close off my hallway from my living room and can keep two areas if needed. Growing up, we didn't give our dogs any human food, so that's ingrained in me as a dog-sitter. I work well within a schedule and I can keep a dog to schedule. I won't leave the dog longer than 4 hours alone, and never overnight alone. I live alone in a very large 1-bedroom with a balcony and outdoor terrace with walls surrounding the perimeter. I'm neat and rarely leave things on the floor so there's minimal to no hazards for a pet to encounter.
