Outdoorsy creative living in the city (born and raised in Amsterdam).

I work flexibly and often from home, which means I have the time and space to give your dog the attention it deserves. I truly believe dogs are the most genuine and loving creatures out there, and I’m more than happy to give your baby exactly what it needs. Whether that’s long walks in the park, playtime, or simply a calm place to stay, eat, and relax.

My space ain't that huge (typical Jordaan apartment). There is space to relax, but to play or for dogs that need more room to walk around, we will go outside. Places I often go for a walk are Westerpark, Rembrandtpak, Vondelpark, or a bit further out to het Amsterdamse bos or het Twiske. If the dog has experience with running alongside of the bike, this is what I always do with Charlie (my dog), and will allow us to move more freely. I also have my driving licence and can sometimes borrow my neighbour his car. Finally, there is public transport and of course walking. It really depends on the dog's habits and preferences and where we wanna go. This also applies for the lengths of our walks. This can be short and slow walks of 20 minutes or long hikes from 1 to 3 hours. We can even go to the beach for a day or stay in the city. Whatever we do, I will be constantly present when sitting the dog.

I grew up with dogs of all sizes and personalities, including Bernese Mountain dogs, a terrier, and several rescue dogs. This has taught me how to handle different needs, from dietary restrictions and anxiety to protective behaviour and adapting to city life. My own (shared) dog currently lives in Italy with my dad, so I really miss having a furry friend around.
