Hi! My name is Sofia, but everyone calls me Sophie. I’m 36 years old, originally from Uruguay, and I’ve been living in Amsterdam since 2014.

Animals have always been a big part of my life. Growing up, my parents had a house near the beach with a large garden, so I was constantly surrounded by dogs and cats. My favorite dog, Marilyn, stayed with them when I moved abroad and sadly passed away last year at the age of 16. She taught me a lot about patience, care, and the special bond we build with our pets.

Since moving to Amsterdam, I’ve looked for every opportunity to spend time with animals and have cared for many dogs and cats over the years, both through pet-sitting platforms and by helping friends, neighbors, and friends of friends. I’ve honestly lost count of how many furry friends I’ve met along the way!

When caring for dogs, I adapt to their individual needs and energy levels. Whether they enjoy long walks, short neighborhood strolls, playtime, or simply relaxing at home, I make sure they feel comfortable and receive plenty of attention. I’m also happy caring for multiple pets at the same time if they are used to living together.

For cats, I understand that every personality is different. Some love cuddles and playtime, while others prefer their space. I always respect their routine and make sure they feel safe and relaxed in their own environment.

I live in a clean, calm, and pet-friendly apartment where safety is a priority. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions if needed, and any specific routines your pet is used to. During pet stays, I also send regular updates, photos, and videos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

I previously had a Pawshake profile, but for the past few years I’ve mainly been looking after pets through personal recommendations. Now I’m excited to meet some new furry friends again!
