I'm a 44 year old Dutch teacher living in Den Haag. I grew up in South Africa, surrounded by pets. I am a very reliable and experienced pet sitter from an animal crazy home! I live with my two kids (15 and 13) and a turtle, 3 gerbils, an Egyptian jird, a rabbit, hamsters, tropical fish and two agapornis parrots. We previously also shared our home with chickens and a beagle dog who is no longer with us and we miss having a canine presence in our home. My son is planning on a career in Veterinary Science and has an incredible lifelong understanding, love and interest in the animal kingdom, domestic and wild. Attached are some photos of our securely enclosed garden and some of our own pets.
I am knowledgeable, calm and comfortable caring for all pets, including dogs, birds, rodents, fish and water creatures. Your pets can either stay in our home or I can come to your home and feed, love and walk them. I am willing to clean out the homes of caged pets, should you be away for a longer period of time and cage cleaning is required. Should your pet stay with us, of course they will been living and sleeping in our home with us and not left alone outside...and there is always a space on the sofa for them!
On the occassion that I myself have needed a pet sitter, I have found it very difficult to find someone that is loving, relaxed and calm with my pets and also has experience with them. I feel that I have these attributes so am offering my services to others. Also, I can reliably accept pets on short notice as I am home most weekends and holidays with my kids and our own pets. As I have a car, I offer pick up and drop off of your pets at a small additional fee from your home if necessary.

This was the first time our pets were looked after using Pawshake. And what a great experience! We're glad that we booked Angela. On first meet up I felt that my pets and my house keys were in safe hands. I appreciated the daily updates. On our return we found relaxed pets. We would book Angela again without hesitation next time we leave our dog and cats at home.
Angela is an amazing dog sitter. It was our first time using a dog sitter so we were nervous about finding the right person. Angela put us at ease right away by having us come to her house to meet her and so that we could see where our dog would be. Angela has a large fenced in backyard and the apartment is all one level so we didn’t need to worry about stairs. She gave us lots of updates with pictures during our whole 2 weeks away. Our dog definitely enjoyed his time with her and we will definitely be using Angela again the next time we need a dog sitter.
