About us

Whereas most people have small talks about the weather, we talk about cats and dogs.

We both grew up with animals. After our own cat had passed away (natural cause, no worries), we took care of cats multiple times, dogs, rabbits and even horses (not at our place lol). 

Currently, we don't have any living animals at our place (as far as we know). As a result we got overly attachted to a pluche alpaca (she/her). For our own sanity we welcome any pet so we can give our love to a living pet instead of lifeless objects (don't tell her we said that). 

Pet sits at our home

-A beautiful, sweet adult male cat that we took care of for a friend 

-We ensured that a cute kitten (he/him) had his first great vacational experience while his owners where on a trip

-A senior emeritus diabetes pensionado cat (she/her) with a cattitude (started her pension at the age of 8)

-Family rabbits (no pronoun, perfer own name) stayed (and survived) here last December and January to find shelter for outside X-mas danger 

Pet sits at their homes

- Housesit in Spain 4 cats, 3 dogs and 2 horses. We've spent a day getting training from the owners before they left for 4 weeks.

- We often take care of cats at friends' places when they are away and sometimes for dogs in our street.

Practicalities

We take the owner's instructions very seriously, as we also understand the need when asking others many times to take care of our own cat. 

When taking a pet sit, we can arrange to be a full week at home with a maximum of 3 hours absense, unless specifically agreed by you and us to be with your pet all the time. In that case, we are there for your pet 24/7. 

We live in a 60m2 apartment without garden. We have a closable cat door to the gallery but for short stays we'd prefer to keep a cat indoors as they normally need to get used to their new temp homes. If taking care of dogs, we would make sure to go outside often. We will take your dog on our 2 or 3 walks a day which we do anyway, amounting to at least 1.5 hours per day, because we are sensitive to gamification and want our health app to congratulate us on our 10k steps achieved goal. We live on the second floor, we have an elevator but to get to the elevator there are a few (5) stair steps.

If we'd have your pet, we'd build our daily routing around him/her/it so it will get most attention and fun.

- Maximum 2 small / 1 big dog / max 2 cats at the time and only if they consider one another as friends. We have a preference for medium-sized and bigger dogs or small dogs if they don't bark more (as some smaller dogs might react a bit anxious to other dogs and new circumstances).

- We prefer longer stays (3+ nights) and usually we are not available on very short notice, even if the calender indicates availability. But feel free to reach out in any case, we might be available
