Hi! My name is Maiko. I am 44 years old and originally from Japan. Since 2003 I have been living in Europe. I am married with two children aged 9 and 11 and live with our beloved cat, Daphne (born in March 2022). We adapted her in November 2022. 

My story with cats started when I looked after my friend's cat, Skye (8 years old female), when my friend was on holiday. Skye stayed with us for three weeks and we all fell in love with her! Soon after Skye went back to her owner, we decided to have our own cat and adopted Daphne. Now I cannot think of a life without cats. I find it so soothing and comforting to stay with them. I also like 'talking' to them. 

Now and then I still take care of Skye when my friend goes on holiday (in their own house because Skye does not get on well with other cats) and that is the reason I would like to be a cat sitter. I would love to do the same for other people when they need to leave their cats behind and go on holiday etc. I see myself as a caring and organised person and I would love to look after cats as well as to do a bit of tidy up, water the plants, check the mailbox and so forth. 

I have no experience with dogs, so my service is limited to cats. If your cat is fine with other cat and children, she/he could stay in our apartment. Our balcony has cat nets. 

I live near the Den Bosch central station. I could visit areas max 15 minutes by bicycle. I don't have a car.

I speak perfect English, and a bit of Dutch (B1) and Italian (A2).
