Mike & Polina here,

We are an international couple living in the Leidsebuurt in Haarlem. Languages we speak are Dutch and English. Both of us have 3 decades of experience with (special breed) cats, dogs and many more as one of us grew up on a horse stable in Zandvoort. As we both work from home and are huge animal lovers, your pet is assured of a lot of attention, a lot of play time, a lot of cuddles and a great place to rest.

Our services
Home visit / walking service
We are very happy to come by and make sure everything is going well with your furry friend. Feed, play or a walk outside, we like to do it all. Regular timeslots are around 8AM, 1200PM and 1730PM for +-40 min each. Our favorite walks are in the direction of Buitenplaats Elswout, De Bolwerken and Brouwerskolkpark. We are experienced with different types of leashes, harnasses and neck chains. If we are comfortable, we will let your dog walk without a leash upon owner's request.

Pet sitting at our location
We only accommodate smaller sized pets preferrably by one at a time. Our own cat, a kind fluffy Ragdoll, is also roaming the house. When your pet stays over, our primary aim is to make them feel like they are at home with respect to our house rules. It is not allowed to scratch furniture/doors. Dogs are not allowed on the couch, also we do not let pets into our bedroom. As we work from home on our laptops during office hours, for the most part of the time there is someone at home accompanying your pet. We make sure he/she will feel comfortable, with sufficient time to sleep, play, cuddle and eat or drink in between. In case of diet requirements we are happy to write them down and make sure all is taken care of. If you bring their own trusted spot for the toilet break, we will put the sand.
Upon request we are able to provide more specific services like brushing/combing of the coat, give medication or clip nails.

About our house
The two of us live in a typical Dutch terraced house of 100 square meters, divided over 3 floors. We have an open kitchen and living room on the main floor, and 4 separate rooms upstairs. Dogs stay on the ground floor only, also at night due to our open stairs. Your pet will have enough personal space and plenty of room to run around. For cats we can have a separate room upstairs to use as a 'home base' for our visitors with separate food/water bowls, toilet and personal space. We kindly ask you to bring your pet's sleeping pillow or blanket for comfort. Our open-air backyard is a closed off area surrounded by walls on all sides; the only way in and out is via the door of the house which can used by your pet to catch some fresh air through the day. For you to have a worry-free vacation, if you like we will daily send you pictures of your pet, so you are sure your pet is having the best time of his life.

Our availability
Regular timeslots for visits or a walk are at 8AM, 1300PM and 1730PM for +-40min each. If your pet stays over at our place, they will be accompagnied through the day. It is important for us to know if your pet can't be alone or in a separate room at night. To keep everyone happy (including our neighbours) we only accommodate cats & smaller calm dogs at our place.
