Hi I'm Kayla, a 26 year old with a lifelong passion for pets. Growing up surrounded by animals, I’ve cultivated a compassion and love for caring for our furry friends! My pet-sitting work began when I was 10 years old and got my first clients by putting up posters in my neighborhood. Ever since then, I have been trusted in caring for pets of my neighbors, family & friends. As a new member of Pawshake, I am eager to try this platform.

Thanks to my job as an online counselor, I work from home and have lots of availability. I am not currently working many hours and have flexibility on both weekdays and weekends to pick up/come by earliest 9:30 and drop off/leave latest 23:00. Living in Amsterdam West, I frequent Rembrandt Park, Sloterplas and Erasmus Park. These are perfect spots for furry friends to stretch their legs, sniff interesting new smells, and enjoy the outdoors. 

I have experience with dogs of a large range of demeanors, from anxious/reactive to highly energetic. I've also looked after elderly dogs who required extra care and medication (oral medication, eye drops). I have had 3 lovable dogs of my own including a Golden Retriever, a Lab mix, and a Poodle mix. I am happy to adapt to any specific requirements your pet may have, just let me know! 😊 

Dog walking:

- My walks are minimum 45 minutes

- I always walk your dog with a leash (provided by you) unless you give permission for them to be off leash in appropriate areas

- Available to walk maximum 2 dogs at a time

- I am also a runner so if your dog has an excess of energy, I can jog them to tire them out for you

- I will gladly send you updates & photos of your cutie!

Home Visits & House Sitting: I take care of your pet as if it were my own! 

- 🐕 For dogs, I offer daily walks (up to 4 per day), feeding, playing with, cuddling, brushing, basic training and lots of quality time

- 🐈 I love cats too! I can care for your cat by feeding, spending time, cuddling, brushing and cleaning the litter box

- 45 minutes per home visit (I can stay there as little or as long as you need) once or twice per day

- Can administer basic medications

- I am available to stay with your pet overnight in your home so they may can follow their daily routine in the familiar environment that they are used to. I work from home and therefore can spend uninterrupted time with your pet. I am also available to do housework tasks such as watering plants, getting the mail, put out the bins on garbage day and cleaning while I am there

- Regular communication of updates & daily photos
