Dear Pet Owners,

My name is Mira, and I'm a friendly animal lover and I grew up in a calm environment in Finland surrounded by dogs, cats and horses. We had poodles at home and I took dressage riding classes; and I still love to spend time at the stable! I've learnt the tricks of taking care of challenging furs (like the one of poodles), I enjoy long walks in the forest with dog friends or just playing and cuddling with them at home. I have also volunteered in an animal rescue center and have taken part in dog training workshops and agility exercises. Your dog will be like my own and she/he will be included in the daily activities! There are many beautiful parks and walking paths around the area we live (Parc de Woluwe, La Promenade Verte, as well as Parc Malou and Park van Tervuren that have off-leash dog areas), and open fields near the boarder of Flanders. Your dog will be walked the first thing in the morning (around 7.30-8.00), twice during the day (noon and around 16-17.00 PM) and last time before going to bed (21.30-22.00). We will do at least one longer walk per day (approx. for an hour) and on the weekends, we will spend more time outdoors with your dog.

I recently got married and live together with my husband in a modern apartment with a terrace in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. Our apartment is approximately 65m2 with a nice terrace. My husband will be also available to help with the pets when he is not working and enjoys being around animals. I'm a biomedical scientist by profession, and I work in the field of cardiovascular diseases to make new heart valves available for patients affected by heart conditions. A healthy, balanced & active lifestyle is therefore important to me.

I also offer a service for walking your dog. Depending on the needs of your dog, these walks will be 30-45 minutes in length. I've a flexible work schedule (ability to work from home), so I can build my day around your/your pets needs. I'm also available for picking or dropping of your pet for overnight stays with a small extra charge of 5 euros per way (if you live near Woluwe-Saint-Lambert there's no need to pay for this). For dog boarding, there will be 24/7 supervision. If there's a medical need, I have experience administering oral medications to both dogs and cats, and I have also experience with furs that require more effort like the one of poodles. I don't offer grooming but I can help with brushing, and detangling of the fur if there's a need. Most of the time, we only have 1 dog boarding at the time but during the busy periods (summer/Christmas) and on the weekends, we will accept up to 3 dogs if they are all friendly with other dogs and don't have issues e.g. with neutering.

For dog boarding and day care, please bring your dog's food, a few toys and a bed/blanket. In this way, she/he will have some of her own smells around and she/he will be more comfortable staying around :). In our apartment, the dogs are allowed to sleep on the sofa (as long as they can do this at home).

For new dogs that will be boarding, I like to set up a meet& greet before the first boarding in our home. Most of the time, we only have one dog boarding but during the weekends and holidays, I will accept up
