About us:
We are a Finnish/English couple in our mid to late twenties, that moved to Amsterdam nearly 3 years ago. We both grew up with dogs around all our life, and we can both definitely say that our dogs were our best friends! We are both currently at university/working part time which means that we have plenty of time to spend looking after dogs and pets; that is why we took up pet sitting! We enjoy the company of dogs and love to spend time with them! We are open to looking after dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes.
What we offer:
Our goal for every pet that we look after is to take care of them as if they were our own. If you have any questions about us, feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to answer any of your questions!
Note:
We are fine with last minute bookings, but we always require to arrange a meet and greet with new clients before accepting the booking!
Dog walks:
We love walkies! We offer a 1 hour dog walk, where we abide by your dogs pace and needs. Your dog will have plenty of time to do their business and have a good sniff around. If your dog isn't too social and can be a bit iffy around other dogs, just let us know and what tricks work for your dog to distract them (treats, sticks?). Your dog will come back home from a nice walk feeling relieved and happy!
Hans:
Hello! I am Hans, someone who loves dogs and talks about them pretty much daily. I am an only child but my family had a cairn terrier (Rudi) who was like a brother to me. I am happy to say that I was able to spend 14 years with him and during those years I came to love dogs, not just Rudi, but many others that I have encountered and spent time with.
Abigail:
Hi, I'm Abigail! I've grown up with dogs around all my life. During my life there has only been 2 years when there wasn't a dog in my family home, and I can honestly say that those were the dullest years! I love spending time with dogs, whether it be going out for walks, brushing their coat, teaching new tricks, or just spending time together and cuddling. Apart from having my own dogs, there has been a large array of different dogs and breeds with different temperaments in my family.

Very friendly and warm couple. We noticed they are very experienced with dogs right from the start. Loved their daily updates. We would definitely recommend Hans and Abigail as pawsitters to anyone.

We have looked after reactive dogs (reactive towards other dogs, animals, people, surroundings), and have experience with dogs that show aggressive behaviour towards other dogs. As far as dog training techniques, we have both taught various different basic commands to our own dogs. If your dog has any specific commands they know, we would be interested in knowing what they are! We have looked after rescue dogs, and Abigail used to have a dog that she had adopted.
*As we live in an apartment building and regularly come across our neighbours in the lift, we require that the dogs we board have to be ok with meeting strangers in the corridors.*
