Dorine

Hi everyone! 

My name is Dorine, I am a 28-year old historian/researcher living in the city center. I am Dutch but I speak English as well. I love animals, especially dogs, and have grown up around them. I miss having a dog in my life and would love to help out with yours! I like taking walks in nature and parks, and I'd love to do that with a dog by my side. My family has had Tibetan terriers and Maltese dogs, so most of my experience has been with smaller breeds, but I like larger dogs too! I'm experienced with puppies and puppy training - I trained our family dogs since I was 12 years old, and also helped my in-laws when their Labradoodle had her litter. 

Currently i'm quite flexible, so available during both the daytime and evenings. From October onwards I will be working more so my availability will be more in the weekends. I'm free for walks, but also open to taking in your dog or housesitting in your place. I'm sure we could arrange something that would work! Since my apartment is small, it's only suitable to host smaller breeds (so; 15kg or under) - if you have a larger dog I can dogsit at your house. I also have a car, so walking outside the city is an option. Open to cats and other animals too. 

I'm experienced with giving medicine to dogs, and also ok with dogs that are more anxious. However, since I live in an apartment with neighbors on all sides, my house isn't very suitable for reactive dogs or dogs that bark a lot - in that case, I'll happily stay over at yours to petsit! 

I want your dog to have its own little holiday while you are away, so I will spoil them a little! I like going for beach walks or to the Amsterdamse Bos, overall I take the dogs staying with me on 4 walks per day that can last anywhere between 30 min and 1,5 hours, depending on your dog's level of activity. If your dog is used to sleeping in the bed with you at home, they can also sleep in my bed. I will also most likely spam you with pictures of your furry babies. 

I case i may be sitting at your house: I can assure I would treat your house with the same love and care as I would my own! I'm a quiet, respectful and clean guest that is mindful of neighbors. I would gladly take care of your plants and garden too. I can stay at your place for up to about three weeks, depending on what you may need. 

I'm a dependable person, a good communicator and will make sure all your pet's needs are met.
