I've been a cat sitter for two years now, but my story with cats goes back much further. I’m 31, and although I’ve been living in the Netherlands for two years, it still feels like I’m adjusting to this new chapter of my life. In an effort to adapt to a foreign country, its culture, and language, I’ve been working at Albert Heijn. However, my actual profession is managing post-sales customer support in the software industry, and I’m also pursuing a degree in Public Relations and Advertising remotely.

Back home, I have two beloved cats, a 10-year-old male and female. Both of them are neutered, and they’ve been a huge part of my life. When I moved here, I had to leave them behind due to a housing crisis, and it broke my heart. My female cat is especially dear to me—she’s survived leukemia twice, and the stress of moving her across countries felt too risky at the time. So, for now, my family is caring for them, and I visit whenever I can.

Living here without them has been difficult. I miss their presence every day, and that’s why the idea of taking care of your cats excites me. It would help fill the void I feel without mine and bring a sense of home back into my life. I hope I get the chance to meet your cats and care for them as if they were my own.
