-----ABOUT ME-----

Hello pet owners! I am Digna, I am 26 years old and a recent unversity graduate who moved into the surroundings of Leiden. I am originally Lithuanian, but the last 7 years I spent living in the Netherlands. I am trying to spend more time doing things that bring me peace and happiness - and taking care of pets is one of those activities. My other hobies include making all sorts of crafts: knitting, crocheting, drawing; and playing board games. 

I grew up surrounded by animals, however, since I moved to the Netherlands, I did not have an opportunity to have pets on my own. I miss having pets in my life and therefore I am currently starting my volunteering journey in a local shelter, hoping to bring some happiness to it's residents, and to learn a few things about animal handling.

I like all sorts of pets - dogs, cats, birds, rodents, fish, reptiles - however, I consider myself to be more of a cat person. I never owned a bird, but I really like them, so I would be very happy to look after them too!

-----WHAT TO EXPECT-----

Before the first appointment, we can meet to learn about your expectations for your pet sitter, and we can discuss the tasks. 

✅I feel comfortable with the following:

• Cleanning the litter box
• Giving food and water to your pet
• Playing/interacting/cuddling - making sure that your pet feels safe and comfortable
• Going for a walk with your pet
• Basic grooming (excluding nail clipping)
• Sending you updates and pictures
• Watering houseplants
• Checking that your house is okay
• Other small tasks related to your pet/house

❌ I would not feel comfortable:

• Taking care of pets with special needs or serious health conditions

I would expect to spend 30 min to 1h per visit, but we can discuss your specific needs.
