I'm a 40 year old guy (Dutch, spreek dus ook Nederlands) living in the city of Leiden. I just love dogs, always felt a strong connection to them and i really appreciate their character, whether it's playful and energetic or more quiet.

I'm caring and attentive, intuitively understand what's going on in a dog. I like playing, cuddling and going on walks. If a dog is older or less into playing/connecting that's fine too of course. I often work from home and i am able to combine it with looking after a dog. 

Because of my work situation i often don't know further into the future if i will be working in an office or from home, that's why requests further than 6 weeks ahead are usually hard for me to accomodate. The upside is that when i work from home last-minute requests are often possible. 

The service i offer is dog boarding (so hosting and taking care of a dog in my house). This can be for a couple of hours up to a couple of weeks. When i host a dog we will do at least 3 walks a day, 2 of around 45 minutes and a 10/15 minute one in the evening. I live at the edge of the Leiden city center close to multiple city parks that are easily combined into a big walk. (huigpark, blekerpark, ankerpark, plantsoen). If you have specific requests about the type of walk or the amount of time i can accomodate for that. 

In some cases i might be available for dogsitting as well, you can always ask. This depends on my work schedule. 

The living room is on the first floor, so there are some stairs, these can be closed off with a 'kids fence'. I have 2 comfortable pillows (one big one, and one medium sized). Ill put those wherever the dog feels most comfortable. The kitchen is always a bit cooler than the livingroom, some dogs prefer that. They can also lay on the couch in the livingroom. I have a very small garden (about 10m2), it's usually in the shade. It's fully closed off, so for dogs who like that i can leave the door open, so they can go there whenever they please. I have the basic stuff like bowls & a leash

A bit more about my history with dogs. I currently don't have one but i spent most of my life with at least one dog around. As a young kid my parents got a wolf dog (Saarloos), that's where my dog story begins, later we added a playful mutt to the family. 2 extremely different animals, showing me very different sides of the dog spectrum. Through relationships i also lived with 2 other dogs, an afghan hound, loved her quirky but also elegant character and a rescue podenco, she was traumatized but also very sweet and playful.
