Hi, my name is Sara, I come from Rome, Italy, and I am currently a second year bachelor student in Maastricht. I am 21 years old and I am studying at the faculty of EU studies. I am a very loving person by nature and I love to travel and visit different countries and cultures. I am a very athletic girl and I have always practiced different sports in my life. I am black belt of karate, I do scubadiving, I played football, volleyball and tennis, I ride horses and I love to ski. Another great passion are the movies. I love going to the cinema and in general watch any type of movie especially the romances, the actions, the biographies and the horrors. I also love to cook but only if I cook for someone else than me! I think that what I enjoy the most is to make someone happy with the food I make and eat together, at the end what is the point in putting love in the food you make if you are the only one that will eat it? But I think that the most important think I should tell you is that I have ALWAYS LOVED ALL THE ANIMALS since I was little! I absolutely adore basically every kind of animal and I would just spend all my life playing and watching them. I used to watch the old disney documentaries on animals when I was little and then now I obsessively watch animal planet. I come from a big and really close family that has always loved animals and especially dogs.
Personally I have a wonderful dog. She is a 10 years old loving jack russel and her name is Milly. But I also grew up with lots of dogs. First there was the dog of my mom, a beautiful maremmano and his name was Athos. Then there were all the dogs of my grandad on the side of my dad. And finally also my grandparents on the side of my mom have a dog, a gian beagle who just loves to eat all day long but he is absolutely beatutiful. So yeah I have quite a lot of experience with dogs and to be honest I also considered the idea of becoming a veterinarian but the only problem is that I absolutely can't stand an animal that suffer. I mean surely if my dog or the dog of my family was sick I would absolutely do the best and take care of him but to constantly see animals suffering would be a nightmare for me. I just love to be with dogs and play with them throwing stuff doing little fights and running around it is just so wonderful to play with them that I enjoy it almost more than them! Not to think that I treat them better than humans. I cook for my dog, we sleep together and she always used to sleep on me while I was studying and whenever we went to the park I always enjoyed doing some activity with her like running playing or just stare at her because let's be honest she is the cutest jack russel you have ever seen!
Honestly my motivation behind being a pet sitter is merely egoistic. Since I came here in Maastricht I have been missing my dog so terribly that I actually looked for jobs involving dogs but last year was pretty intense and the only thing I found was doing volunteering at a shelter really far. But now I found this incredible opportunity to spend some time with the most amazing creatures on this planet and also getting paid for it!!! Honestly speaking I wouls spend some nice time with your dogs also for free you know. I really REALLY need to feel the love a dog can give you some time especially now that I am studying at university and I am a little stressed out sometime. I think the best feeling ever is receving some pure love from a dog this is the key for happiness to me and it would really make my day sometime. So yeah this is why I am applying for this job basically just because I love dogs more the humans and I need some time with dog love. But I am 100% serious when I say I treat dogs better than humans and I know how to take care of dogs of any size and age and to me it would be a great honor and joy to take care of your dogs and I promise I will give them all my love and attention.
Depending on the dog I would ajdust the activities and the walks. I personally love to bring my dog or any dog to the park and play with them even just running with them I think it's stimulationg not only for them but also for me so I don't need to go to the gym ahahah! So in general my idea of walk would absolutely include a park or forest and at least 20 good minutes but depending on what you want and how active is the dog we could also spend a whole afternoon in a park and I would bring some notes to study while playing with him. Regarding keeping a dog for the night I must say I would die for it because I really miss sleeping with mine or even just having someone with whom watch some tv and cuddling. My studio is around 40 square metres and the building has a little outdoor space to chill in if its a good day. But what I think would work better for both your dog and you is to have a really nice conversation before anything regarding the dog's habits and first of all if he or she likes me because this is the most important thing I think.
So I guess this is all. I hope I didnt write too much and that I didnt sound too crazy but most of all I really hope I will get the chance to spend some time and take care of beautiful animals! Thank you everyone!
Sara :)

Sara is a really kind and sweet person with a big love for animals. She took great care of my cat for the whole week that I was away. I would definitely recommend her to others. (She did home visits/once per day for a week)
I have been doing volunteering in dogs shelteters in Rome for 2 years in 2012-13 and I used to occasionally help my vet during weekends and after school since I got my own dog in 2008. I also have familiarity with training since my grandad used to train dogs for hunting and basic manner.
