Giacomo Dante

Hi there! My name is Giacomo Dante, I am a 21-year-old Italian student who lives in Leiden and studies User Experience Design in The Hague.

I have always had such a great passion for animals, especially dogs, as the second picture suggests (2008, 10-year-old me).

My trusted four-pawed companion is the sweetest and most adorable pitbull, Rocky, who lives in Milan, where I am from, and he misses me as much as I miss him, but he's in good hands as my best friend is taking excellent care of him. I love dogs more than any other animal in the world because of the loyalty, love, and affection they look for in humans.

When I moved in the Netherlands, in August 2018, I had in mind to get a puppy for this new venture, but with university rhythms, it was highly unlikely for the puppy to get the deserved and needed love and affection. Therefore I turned to Pawshake.

My experience with dogs starts at a very young age and has grown ever since. I hope I can bring all the love and affection for the neighborhood pets who are in need of some company! I'm a student who just finished his first year and has some free time on his hands, so I'm available pretty much all the time.

I live in the center of Leiden with my brother in a two-story apartment. The outdoor area is a small enclosed patio, and the house has been made dog-safe.

I offer dog walking, petting, sitting, and overnight stay at my house - if needed. The duration and itinerary of the walks slightly depend on the size and requirements of the dog, but are most certainly long and active! When my girlfriend dogsits, we always go to the park and it's always very fun, so the walks will primarily consist of going to the park.

In the case of an overnight stay, the dog will be able to sleep wherever comfort calls :)
