Hi!

I’m Leanne, I am 30 years old and dog sitting/training is my full-time profession.

I have to start off by saying that I love dogs! They are my number one passion! There’s nothing that makes me smile more than seeing a dog smiling back at me, wagging its tail in excitement!

I live with my two dogs Beau and Nyla, who are the sweetest of dogs. Beau is eight years old and she spent the first three years of her life living with three other dogs. She is good around both male and female dogs and she’s particularly good with puppies as she has a strong mothering instinct. Nyla, my youngest, is over one years old now and she has been socialised with other dogs since birth. She loves to play with other dogs and she is very enthusiastic about making new doggy friends! Beau and Nyla would make sure your dog has lots of fun during their stay.  

Your dog will have the very best care here at Doggy Dreams Daycare. I am a qualified dog trainer with a certified Diploma from the Centre of Excellence training school. I am also qualified in dog socialisation and obedience training. Socialisation is one of my main focuses at day-care, because it is very important for the mental and physical wellbeing of any dog to be able to socialise with other dogs in a safe environment. I really care about dogs and how they feel and I am very interested in the psychology behind how they think and behave. That is the reason why I am currently working towards a qualification in dog behaviour and psychology, because I want to expand my knowledge and skills to further my profession.

I would love to make your dog as happy and as comfortable as possible during their stay at our spacious ground level, air-conditioned luxury apartment. We have a large garden surrounded by high fences, a doggie swimming pool for those hot summer days and a park close by.

Your dog will have their every need catered for during their stay including constant supervision, plenty of playtime (with our large selection of dog toys), cuddles and loads of attention! In addition, I love to send frequent updates throughout the day with plenty of pictures/videos so you can keep up to date with all the fun your dog is having. Overnight boarding (24hr), includes the additional service of dog walking, 30 minutes to 1 hour walks per day in some beautiful local areas. We regularly walk around the Castle Erenstein, the river Worm, and the Brunssummerheide where your dog can enjoy the natural spring waters and play in the silver sand. This is a popular location to view the rare silver sands which are surrounded by beautiful green forestry, found in very few locations across the world.This is where your dog will have lots of fun exploring!  

When your dog is ready to relax, he/she is welcome to sit or sleep on any of the couches or beds that we have in our apartment. We also have a dog basket for dogs who prefer to use that instead, we leave it up your dog to decide where they’re most comfortable. During your dog’s stay, they will be treated as if they are our own because to me, dogs are not only pets but family! They are the most loyal friends on the planet and they deserve nothing but 100% love and devotion. Dogs have been a big part of our lives as we have no children, so when my fiancé is home, your dog will have extra attention and cuddles from him too.

One thing you should know is that I’m from Wales. I moved to the Netherlands a few years ago, so I only speak English but I’m currently learning Dutch. I have lived with a dog since I have moved out here and have been dog sitting others regularly. This has helped me to learn how to speak basic dog commands in Dutch and so I will be able to communicate with your dog. My fiancé was born in The Netherlands and has grown up around this area. He is fluent in speaking in Dutch, English, and German. You can also talk with him if it makes you more comfortable before bringing your dog.

Bookings for 2022 are filling up quickly and because of this, it’s best to book in early as I can only care for up to three dogs per day for day-care and a maximum of two dogs per night for my boarding service. Owners of dogs which can get along with other dogs will have a better chance at securing a booking. I do NOT allow any female dogs on heat or expecting their heat for day-care or boarding. This is to prevent unwanted pregnancies and any risk of sexual aggression, as I prioritise the wellbeing and safety of all the dogs in my care.
