I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes.

Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands.

As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed.

After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners I met in the city and at nearby nature spots. A few years later and I am completing my Master's degree at Utrecht University, whilst working as a dog walker for an Utrecht-based hondenuitlaatservice. 

I have a great deal of patience when dealing with animals. When necessary I can be firm with correcting behaviour of the animals I am looking after. That being said, I strongly believe that in almost all cases an animal will respond much better when spoken to with kindness and care. I have my own studio with elevator accessibility. Only two minutes walk from my studio is lots of nature and forests, as well as a large area specifically for dogs to walk both on and off the lead.

I am very familiar with all the local dog parks too. Every animal is a little bit unique in how they like to play and rest, but I like to think that I always match their energy. I have never met a dog I couldn't tire out! I am finishing up my MA thesis at Utrecht University, often working from home which is very compatible with pet care. 

I also am working a lot as a dog walker for an Utrecht based company. So even on the days I am working with other dogs I can easily bring any dog that I am looking after with me for the group walk, which is a great opportunity for group socialisation.
