My name is Danielle and I’m a transplant to the Netherlands! I am a self-employed counselor with a flexible schedule. I primarily work from home, which allows me to give pets extra time and attention.
In the USA, I had adopted both cats and dogs and fostered dogs until they found adoptive homes. In addition, I was a frequent caretaker for pets and homes.
Now that I live in Gouda, I would like to continue helping care for others’ animals! I am available to feed and water pets during the day, watch animals overnight in my home or yours, and take care of any necessary tasks around the home including watering plants, taking in mail, or other duties as needed. I currently have a cat and some recurring doggy daycare guests in my home, so it is helpful to know if your pet is dog-and-cat friendly. Also to note* my home is on the 1 and 2 floor of a building, and requires stairs. Large dogs need to be able to get up the stairs if they are too big to carry 😂
My primary language is English and I’m working on learning Dutch. In the meantime, my Dutch is limited. However, I can use any Dutch commands/instructions for your pet if you inform me of them in advance!
Since the move to the Netherlands, I have truly missed the interaction with animals and look forward to caring for your beloved housepet!
Danielle is super flexibel en vriendelijk. Heeft geen enkele moeite met dieetbehoeften van verschillende katten, en neemt ook rustig de tijd om alle katten te laten eten en even met ze te kroelen of te spelen.
Danielle did a great job taking care of my Shiba for the week. From the drop-off to pick-up everything went smoothly.
I have good training and behavior management skills for pets. I’m well acquainted with the needs of cats and dogs. Walking on leash with any sized dog is a joy, and I have several wonderful parks and nature areas near my home for daily walks.
