Hi!

As a daughter of a biologist I grew up looking at animals and nature with great intrigue. I enjoy long walks, finding it calming but also interesting how different parts of nature change with each season. Having spent the first ten years of my life in a small village in Greece I have also always been surrounded with different types of animals. There, me and my family helped foster stray dogs and cats whilst helping out with the care of the local donkeys. At home we had dogs, but also guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters and even tortoises.

After that me and my family moved to the Netherlands where I've lived ever since. The fostering of animals wasn't possible anymore, but we contiued to enjoy the company of our own pets. As a teenager I got easily bored and started teaching our family dog (first picture) different tricks. I loved seeing that he was always eager to learn more, but that training also strenghtened our bond.

In 2018 I moved to Amsterdam for my studies and lived together with a cat for a while. Still, I missed the company of the different animals so I started taking care of cats and dogs on Pawshake. I loved noticing how even the most scared cats got used to me, greeting me with louder purrs as the time went by. I was also reminded how quickly puppies could turn from energised to falling asleep almost everywhere. During my "corona break" I was reminded by these experiences how much fun I have had through Pawshake. Because of that I've decided to start looking after (primarily) cats and dogs again!
