My partner and I are huge fans of dogs - we both grew up with dogs, so we have experience in their different phases of life, and with pups of different sizes and temperaments. I moved to the Netherlands for study, and I am currently looking for extra income as I am finishing writing up my thesis. I mostly work from home and have a flexible schedule that allows me to always attend a dog's needs. My partner who works 2x/week in the office is also eager to complement with dog care when she is home.
Over the past years in the Netherlands, we have dogsat several times for friends and acquaintances - from tiny, shy pomeranians to super active golden retrievers. We love providing dogs with whatever makes them most happy - be it more cuddles, longer and more varied walks, throwing toys back and forth, and so on. We care as much as you that your dog is well fed, well hydrated, comfortable, safe, and neither bored nor overstimulated. We understand this is a member of your family and dogsitting also involves strong responsibility and commitment (as well as moments of silliness!).
We live in a nice green area, close to many parks (the embassy area on Groot Hertoginnelaan, Scheveningse Bosjes, and the canal area of Conradkade), which allow both shorter walks close by and longer walks with plenty to sniff and other doggies to greet (if your doggo is comfortable with that!). Our apartment has two bedrooms, a separate kitchen and living room, as well as a nice enclosed balcony where the dog can hang out (accompanied and supervised) if they enjoy it.
Let us know how we can help care for your beloved pet!
