Who are we?
Hello, we are Nils (37) and Lakshmi (34). We are living together in Amsterdam (IJburg) since 2021 and we both love pets. Nils grew up with a couple of dogs and other pets, but hasn't had an own pet for many years. Hence, since the end of 2021, we ocassionally host dogs. Nils grew up in Germany and speaks Dutch, German and English, Lakshmi grew up in India and speaks English and Hindi.
What do we offer?
We offer dog boarding at our home and dogsitting at your place. We also take care of other pets.
We dogsit together and make sure that at least one of us is always there for your dog. Lakshmi is mostly working from home, but Nils has go to the office sometimes.
Your dog will stay in our apartment. It's on the first floor and has a balcony. At night dogs usually sleep in our sleeping room, but they are free to go wherever they want in the apartment.
We usually go for three or four walks with your dog, depending on your dogs' needs. We like going on short and long walks and if your dog needs a lot of exercise that is no problem, as Nils is an enthusiastic runner.We will determine the number and length of the walks together with you. There is a little park close to our home, where dogs from the neighbourhood go for walks.
Usually we host one dog at a time, but if it works out with multiple dogs and owners agree to it, we can also host multiple dogs.
We have a car and a dog box. That way we can take your dog with us if we go on small/day trips. It's also possible to pick up your dog and/or bring him back.
If we petsit at your place we do that together as well. During working days we'll have to work from your place.
What do we expect from you?
Before we accept your booking we have a meet and greet so that you can see our place (if your pet stays with us), or that we can see your place (if we stay at your home), and discuss the needs of your pet(s) and mutual expectations.
Bring everything your dog (or other pet) needs: food, toys, bed, etc. We have bowls and some toys.
We hope that we'll gain your trust. We are looking forward to meeting you and your pet.

Sven had lovely time with Nils and Lakshmi, they took him for a long walks and gave a lot of attention during the day. I was receiving updates throughout the weekend and was at ease that everything is going smooth.
