Hello fellow pet parents, I'm Chris!

I'm hoping to be your pet's best new buddy! I'm 36 and originally from the United States, born and raised in California. I moved to Amsterdam from Seattle, WA with my husband in late 2020. While my husband works from home remotely, I'm currently working only part-time so I can spend plenty of quality time with your dog or cat!

I've been petsitting regularly in Amsterdam since September 2021. My experience with animals before then is informal, but I adore them. I've taken care of and been a parent to dogs, cats, birds, turtles, fish, snakes and lizards. 

At home we have a 13 year old rescue dog named Whicket who's a large black lab/wirehair mix. She's still very energetic for her age and rather rough-and-tumble when we play and explore the neighborhood. We also have a sweet cat, Gordon, our 12 year old Tonkinese/Siamese. He is gentle and affectionate, playful and very talkative!

I know that taking care of a pet is a deeply personal task and I do not take that responsibility lightly. I've used services to watch my pets many times in the past while away from home and understand the importance of choosing someone you can trust. You can't relax wondering if your baby is doing okay when you're gone (at least I can't!), and I'm very sympathetic to that.

I offer walks, in-home visits, daycare, and overnight stays in your home to sit your pets and the house itself. I'm typically available morning, afternoon and in the early evening.

-Walks would last 30-40 minutes and set at the pace of your dog.

-Daytime visits would last 30-40 minutes. Attention and love are included along with basics like feeding and refreshing water, letting your pets out to relieve themselves during a walk, and cleaning the litter box. If oral medication is needed I'm happy to administer it!

-Overnight stays would conisist of me staying in your house with your pet, with them usually not being left alone for more than a few hours at a time. I can also do routine house sitting chores (watering plants, collecting mail, etc.) so please let me know what you require. I can walk them 3 times daily, about 30 minutes each (depending on weather). Whether they like to get their energy out on park trails or have a partner for zoomies around the house, I'm there!

During visits and stays, expect photos and updates with your pet each day! Before you leave I will email you an information sheet to fill out about your pet and home, so you have a chance to communicate everything I need to know.

Please note I try best to accomodate everyone, but if you are located a good distance from me I may not be able to accept your booking. Also please feel free to reach out even if my calendar is showing I'm unavailable for a certain date; sometimes I can still make it work!
